Riverside County Jail, Blythe, California

Two deputies performing security checks were attacked by prisoners. When two additional deputies came to their aid, they were also attacked. According to the sheriff’s department, the prisoners were attempting to escape. All four deputies sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Four prisoners were charged with crimes in connection with the attack.
