Two inmates attack a guard as she is escorting over 50 prisoners. The officers family believes the attack to be a response to the officer providing a drug tip to the department of corrections.
As a result of the attack, the officer is hospitalized and has to undergo facial reconstruction surgery to fix a broken jaw and cheekbone.
Two inmates are charged with assaulting an officer and have ten years added to their sentences as a result.
