Hunger Strike at Central East Correctional Centre, Ontario

Central East Correctional Centre, Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, Canada October 16-29, 2016 Immigrant detainees re-launch their hunger strike (which had ended in July) in protest of their placement in maximum security prisons, indefinite detention of immigrants and a variety of other grievances. The outside group End Immigration Detention Network holds solidarity demonstrations and supports the strikes, which last over two weeks.
