2018 National Prison Strike: Saguaro Correctional Center, Eloy, Arizona

Saguaro Correctional Center, Eloy, Arizona August 21, 2018 Prisoners transferred from the Nevada Department of Corrections to the privately operated Saguaro Correctional Center in Arizona go on hunger strike in coordination with the National Prison Strike. According to Holly Welborn, policy director with the ACLU of Nevada, “They have more specific demands than the 10 that went out nationally. Their concerns are they are being treated differently than they would be at a (Nevada) state facility.”
