Hunger Strike at Northern New Hampshire Correctional Facility

Northern New Hampshire Correctional Facility, Berlin, New Hampshire
January 31, 2017

Approximately 200 prisoners launch a two-day hunger strike in response to new visitation policies that include no kissing, no hugs lasting more than 3 seconds, no vending machines or board games, and physical separation for the duration of the visit.

Three days later, prisoners at the New Hampshire State Prison for Men set fires in protest of the same rule changes.
