Prisoners Break Out of Cells at Van Zandt County Jail, Texas

Dozens of prisoners were transferred from the Van Zandt County Jail after they learned to pick the locks of their cells. They were moving freely throughout the cell block and protecting their identity with sheets.

“The inmates were able to gain access out of their secured cells, out into the hallway and then out of the hallway… really out into the parking lot,” explained Chief George Flowers.
