Holman Correctional Facility, Escambia County, Alabama

After a guard reportedly found a contraband cell phone, prisoners took control over the A-dorm, which housed approximately 115 prisoners. The standoff lasted about 4 hours until the correctional emergency response team entered the dorm and quelled the uprising. Five prisoners were injured and sent to the hospital.
